Welsh Families: Guilford High School will be hosting a Trunk or Treat in their parking lot this Saturday 10/18/25 from 1:00-3:00. All Welsh students are welcome with an adult!
It's National School Lunch Week and today is Lucky Tray Day at all RPS 205 K-12 schools! Look for the lucky stamp under your lunch tray to win a prize. If you have a winning tray, bring your tray to the kitchen team to claim your prize. Good luck!

It’s back! RPS 205’s Chicken Sandwich Contest returns! Create the most creative chicken sandwich for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch OLED & have your sandwich featured on the menu this spring! Turn in entries to your kitchen staff Oct. 14–17. Winners will be announced Nov. 17!

Last night, the Rockford school board recognized Cohort 4 graduates of the NIU Principal Residency Program. Zach Larson (Jefferson HS), Whitney Reed (Welsh ES), and Andrew Wimberly (Ellis ES) are all now certified administrators with their master's degrees. Congratulations!
All RPS 205 buildings are closed today in observance of the federal holiday.

Welsh Soccer Tryouts: 4th and 5th grade soccer tryouts will be moved from outside into the gym because of impending rain. Therefore, if your 4th or 5th grader is trying out, please come to the front door to pick them up at 3:30pm when tryouts end.
Welsh Families: Don't forget, Welsh Annual Open House and Supply Drop-Off is Tuesday 8/12 from 4:00-5:30. Meet your teacher, tour the school, and drop off school supplies as we begin our 96th year of educating the children of Rockford's North End neighborhood.
