Auburn & Jefferson High School art students will be heading to Chicago's Bridgeport Art Center on Sunday, April 21st to compete for top prizes at the 2024 Illinois High School Art Exhibition. 

This event brings together the best student artists from nearly 150 Illinois high schools. Students are selected across eight different categories, Early College Program Scholarship offerings, or from submitted Senior Scholarship portfolios. 

The Northern Regional Exhibition is a "Best of the Best" show featuring over 500 works of art competing for prestigious awards. This truly unique showcase celebrates artistic expression and achievement. The following RPS 205 students will be represented in specific categories:

Auburn High School

  • Michaela Foreman - Painting

  • Kai Gregory - Design & Sculpture

  • Pah Sa Khin - Photography

  • Eshal Sameer - Mixed Media

  • Lauren Witte - Drawing

Jefferson High School

  • Isaira Alvarado - Painting 

  • Emily Chavez - Drawing

  • Mya Hildebrand - Painting

  • Aidon Lundstrom - Mixed Media

  • Erika Palos-Ponce - Drawing

  • Sherlyn Zavalla - Drawing

The Senior Scholarship Exhibition will exhibit more than 300 senior artworks and recognize scholarship offers totaling over $75 million. The RPS 205 students submitted portfolios and will be on display. The following awards are adjudicated in the Senior Division and presented at the state reception: Best in Show, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention. Those students that will be represented are:

The Early College Program Exhibition will showcase more than 20 underclassmen awarded life-changing scholarships to summer college experiences. The RPS 205 student represented in this show is Amya Holland from Auburn High School.
