"Mr. Rollins was an amazing teacher. He made math fun by creating games for us to play with our partners. We had "parties" after we finished a writing piece. Mr. Rollins taught each of us at our own pace, meeting with us one on one if we had to. He handed out candy if we reached our goals, motivating us to do more. I enjoyed the freedom of eating whenever I was hungry. Mr. Rollins gave us a prize if we were good for the substitute. On our birthdays, we would play a game that included asking as many questions in two minutes. Mr. Rollins was my favorite teacher, and I will never forget him."

"At the time I met him, I was a mean kid. But when I entered his class, I was trying to change my additive. UT was hard be cause I've always been rude to people. But he gave a speech on bullying and why it's bad, and his experience with being a bad kid and fixing it. It inspired me a lot, and helped me change my additive. And, he's the kindest, funniest teacher in the whole school building."

"Miss Harner is full of creativity, kindness, and fantastic communication. It takes a lot for an 8th grader to get excited about a summative assessment, and for several of the test from the WWI puzzle to the dynamic timeline, my son has come home thrilled about the experience of taking a test. The creativity in her assessments as well as the quality of her performance assessments shows how she is a standout. On top of that, she leads with kindness, and communicates with parents her plans, and what topics are being taught so we can ask follow-up questions at home."
